A Day In The Life Of An Alpha Academy Student

At Alpha Academy, we seldom have a “typical” day! In general, our students spend half the day working, and the other half in class. Evenings and weekends are free for homework, household responsibilities, and rec time. Our curriculum is very flexible, and often our class time is more focused on one-on-one mentoring.

Students are out of bed at 6:30 am, and work begins at 8:00. Classes are usually between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Lights are out at 10:00 pm.

We encourage our students to be involved in the community, and they often schedule activities in the evening.

There is not much time for laying around doing nothing at Alpha. The time our students are here (around 6-9 months) is valuable, and we want them to make the most of every opportunity for learning and growth. Recreation and having fun together is important to us, and we try to schedule special trips at least every other month.
